GETTING BETTER ALL THE TIME
Hey! It's my second time in The Comics Journal! First time, it was a blurb in an ad. This time, I'm joined by Marcos! TCJ provided SPX attendees with a little space to promote their upcoming books. I gave Matt Silvie the best information I had at the time. Unfortunately, that information wasn't very good.
This is what I wrote:
Justin J. Fox and Marcos Perez will be unveiling Earth Minds Are Weak #7, a bright blue envelope containing three minis: I Am God, Do You Remember What You Said? and Our Little Game, all brand new for SPX.
First of all, what I wrote was a little misleading. Marcos will be there with his books, but this isn't some collaborative effort. Fans of his (and they are Legion) and detractors of mine (they're more like the Teen Titans) shouldn't be fooled. There is no Marcos Perez goodness contained within.
The next bits are all accurate until you get to "bright blue." The envelope is now Cocoa. I've increased the size of the books, and now they don't fit in the blue envelopes. I had to get new ones, but I didn't want to get blue ones since I already HAVE blue ones. So, now the three minis are in a dull brown envelope.
I Am God is one of the books, but "Do You Remember What You Said?" is now Remember. "Our Little Game" is now just The Game. The
titles are less distinct, but actually better. They will be brand-new for SPX.
I Am God and Remember are both full-color, eight-page books. The The Game is 16 b&w pages. They'll all be 5.5" x 8.5". There's a b&w sticker on the front of the envelope and a full-color sticker on the back.
The price will be $2.00.

Marcos won't be updating Carl is The Awesome this week as he is sick, but he's feeling better and should be back on his feet by the end of the week. Expect many updates next week. And visit the site to wish him well.
