MOCCA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cliff Face Comics will be at MoCCA this weekend at table A-80. Just come on inside, walk to the middle of the first exhibition room you come to, make a left and walk straight to the end of the building. You'll find us there, selling wares, chatting all up ons, sneaking wiskey, buying books, making trades, dancing jigs, singing half-remembered old-school hiphop, laughing, guzzling jugs of coffee, etc.
It will be fun times. It will be a beautiful weekend. Those of you thrilled to finally have some beautiful weather might be thinking you'd rather be outside than in... but you'd be wrong. First of all, you can walk to the Puck Building in the freshness and then come inside and say hello. You'll want to step inside because your skin is unacustomed to the sunlight. Also, you'll want to spend some time with people having all the fun. I've checked the NYC schedules for this weekend, and it turns out we will be having all the fun to had.
Miss the show, and you'll just feel miserable. Really.
Marcos Perez brings it on:
Tear-Stained Makeup 1-4! Each issue is bigger than the last! Filled with more humor and pathos than you can shake sticks! Follow crazy people in bands and in love and in time and in violence as they try to makes sense of their crazy lives. Lives crazier than yours.
Mercury Lounge love at first concert. Silent moments. Humor. Unrequitedness!
Carl is the Awesome! Two sets of four minis each! Awesome! Meet the guy with the best self-esteem, and the vest to back it up. Super-sick!
Kenny Belasco brung it ups:
Water the 24-hour wordless comic Celtic scholars continue to debate. To. This. Day.
Fomari. Ancient, pre-civilization demons shot in Kenny's pajamas and then stuffed for your bed or mantel. What were they doing in his pajamas anyway?
Perhaps they were tired from posing for portraits. Kenny brings the handmade stuffed animals and their paintings.
Justin Fox brangs it out:
Earth Minds Are Weak 1-6: it's eight minicomics in six! New math for a world where reality stops making sense and we've all got sand in our vaseline. 1-4 used to be a shopping mall, now it's all covered in the dream-logic of the Story of Suave Prospects. If girlfriend is better; love, loss and and loneliness can only be funnier. Or sadder. That's three books in #5. #6 is the big issue about a bureaucrat who gets tiny. No, it is not my beautiful wife. But most of these were made in my beautiful house.
Come and stop by. We've been expecting you.
